Noman Khalid is an upcoming singing sensation of Pakistan. His latest single, Aitebaar (Vital Signs Cover) is already creating vibes all over. The video is on air on all leading channels of Pakistan.

His debut album, which is due to be released soon, is a blend of different genre of music. So watch out for it..

The UMR team was able to catch up with Nauman and ask him a few questions about his album and other ventures..

Q. What is your education and your interests?
A. I have done Bachelors of Science in (IT) & My only interest is doing Music the rest is the part of life..

Q. What inspired you to do Music?
A. Well music is in my blood but its none other than our great band Vital Signs who inspired me.. I am also inspired by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan & an another legendary band of ours, Junoon..

Q. How do you define your music?
A. What can I say, talking about todays music its all about being commercial & making money otherwise music is a true source of expressing your emotions & I actually express myself through it, what ever I feel inside me.. 2ndly as I cant stick to 1 genre so I keep on doing experiments with my music but I am more into pop & soft Rock..

Q. How do you define yourself as a musician?
A. I dont think of myself as 1 of the great musicians at the present but I keep on trying hard & try to bring the best out of me.. Its a God gifted thing 1 cant help it.. On the other hand I am not just a vocalist but I write & compose for myself too, so its kind of a complete package that really works for you..

Q. Who is the real you?
A. Its the 'Nomi' thats inside this Nouman Khalid.. He is shy but at times too blunt to express, He is caring & loving, He is down to Earth.. He is fun to be with, He loves shopping & spending time with friends, Some times Romantic & needs companionship but at times want to be all alone..

Q. Do you think as an artist you have a responsibility? If yes then how would you define that?
A. My resposilbility being an artist is to be honest with what ever I am presenting on behalf of my nation infront of this world.. To give you my best shot with the talent that I have & provide my fans with the best entertainment ever..

Q. How do you feel about the current state of media in Pakistan?
A. Well thanks to God the current state of the media is improving.. Now with the changing Government I am very much hopeful that the situation is going to be much better than before as it has been quite horrible since the last 6 months and almost every single individual suffered due to the restrictions on media & people related to media by any means..

Q. What do you have to say about the upcoming artists?
A. Work hard.. Believe in yourself & your talent.. Guys trust me the competition is really tough out there so until & unless you think you cant give your best shot please dont waste your time & money.. Be realistic in your approach.. Peace..

Q. What is the most pressing regret of your life as an artist?
A. I guess None.. I dont regret anything as an artist that I remember.. As I dont believe in leaving any stone unturned..

Q. How would you define your creative process?
A. Being creative is something God gifted.. So when ever I am up for creating anything related to music like composing or writting my lyrics, First I need all the time in this world, then I look for a topic to write & a peace of mind to play with the tunes to compose.. Some times it comes from no where that you know, it can be while driving, specially it comes up to me when I am in ma rest room because its the only place where silence meets me..

Q. How do you feel about playing live?
A. My strength are my vocals & I can only prove myself as a vocalist when I sing live with live music & I love to play around while singing with my vocals as I am a semi classical trained singer.. Thats the only reason I prefer performing in Live shows & most of the time its unplugged..

Q. Any Specific Reason Behind The Album Name (Tanhai)?
A. Yes, It describes me & my life as I am dedicating this album to my beloved Mother & She is no more with me may God rest her soul in peace..(Amin)

Q. Now a personal question, have you ever fall in LOVE ??
A. It's not just personal its very personal.. I will be a bit diplomatic.. One cant start singing or writting if he is not in LOVE.. So here you go, My first Love is My MOM & My second Love is ma career (music) & My passion to become 1 of the best Singers in the world...

Q. If you are going on a holiday what are the three most important things you would definitely take with you?
A. My wife, if I was married, but as I am not so I would think of a substitute.. Ofcourse My Cell phone & alot of money for shopping..

Q. Where do you see the Pakistani Media in the next ten years?
A. 10 years from here I see Pakistani media growing a great deal.. InshAllah..

Q. Where do you see yourself in the next ten years?
A. 10 years from here I see myself in HollyWood.. lol.. But why not, so I would again say InshAllah..

Q. What do you think about UMR?
A. For UMR I would say that its 1 of the best websites of Pakistani music.. UMR is actually promoting Pakistani music across the globe by taking it to the next level as their strategy of marketing & publicity is way different than the other routine websites.. Keep up the gud work..

A. Just believe in your self and do what ever you want to do & what you think is right.. Be honest & straight forward.. Always respect your Elders.. Help the poor.. Live & let every 1 Live.. Peace..
